Shipping General Help

Specializing in Trailer Loading plays a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and efficient loading of products onto trailers, following load sheets, and upholding the highest standards of safety and cleanliness.

Role & Responsibilities



  • Move product (stacks or racks) from packaging lines to the appropriate trailer or staging area.
  • Maintain organization in product staging areas and lines.
  • Load products from the staging area to trailers, ensuring proper stacking and preventing shipment of damaged items.
  • Remove out-of-code products, consistently checking date and price codes, and label accordingly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas, including Bond St. Platform, private label dock, D-Center loading area, and the empty tray area.
  • Work on the platform, including unloading inbound (purchased) products.
  • Complete paperwork (load sheets, block sheets) with accuracy and neatness.
  • Perform trailer checks, including sweeping and checking for damage. Document information and submit reports to the department manager.
  • Inform supervisors in advance of the floor inventory of empty trays and other equipment.
  • Communicate with packaging employees to ensure correct product counts on each truck, reconciling trailer paperwork to packaging wrap sheets.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following safety guidelines and reporting incidents to management.
  • Always follow proper Good Manufacturing Practices (G.M.P.'s).



Requirements & Physical Demands



  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time during a shift.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and push and pull heavy wheeled equipment or carts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and crouch to access equipment, tools, or materials.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or operate machinery, tools, or controls
  • Ability to perceive and respond immediately to visual and audible safety alerts and warnings to ensure the safety of self and others in a fast-paced, hazard-sensitive environment with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, and airborne particles, odors, and fumes.
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, or work platforms as required by the position.
