Preferred inventory experience related to order picking, stocking equipment, and tracking of equipment. Working knowledge of Microsoft applications, inventory management, work management, and other relevant software. Physically able to bend, stoop, and lift objects up to 50 lbs. without assistance. Must be detail oriented. Displays effective verbal and written communication skills with employees, customers, peers and management. Must have a valid Arizona Drivers License and be able to operate company vehicles. Must be able to work a 5-day in person work schedule with flexibility including evenings, weekends and possible overnight travel. Willing to tow a trailer as needed for material or part deliveries. Willingness to develop knowledge of Substation equipment and materials.

In order to qualify for this position, you will have to progress through two different testing procedures. The first test will be a computer based Microsoft Word and Excel test. If successful you will move to the third phase of the testing, the interview on the core competencies. You will be notified of the time and place for all of the testing. Responsible for ordering, procurement and storage of items. Orders and coordinates delivery with the warehouse Dispatcher for larger Stores items. Orders, procures, and delivers non-stores items specific to Business Unit equipment and activities that are frequently used by the crews. Communicates with crew on daily basis for material needs. Tracks all purchases on a spread sheet with job information, price, requestor, and vendor information. Set up and maintains staging area where parts are accessible to crew for future and ongoing projects. All components in this area are clearly labeled. Monitors spare parts inventory levels and replenish stock as required. Receives invoices from AP, reconciles and releases for payment with the correct accounting and vendor information against a Planned PO in IProc. Create new items in Department specific database using all vendor information supplied, as well as price and lead time. Each new item is assigned an inventory number, a location where it can be found, part number and brief description. Takes responsibility as the area tool room and test equipment attendant. Keeps Tool Cage neat, clean and organized. Each piece of equipment must be clearly labeled and assigned a location where it belongs. Keeps the parts area neat, clean, organized, and inventoried so items are easily found and accessible. Research and procures vintage components, based on availability, price, compatibility, and possible unit upgrades. Delivers Warehouse items, vendor materials, spare parts and tooling as necessary to keep the crew functioning efficiently. Assesses the condition of tool room equipment after it's been turned back and has the skill set necessary to recognize if further attention, repairs or calibration are necessary. This position may provide services to affiliates of the Company subject to the UNS Energy Code of Conduct and the related Policies and Procedures.
