Controller - Bloomington, MN

Sightpath Medical is the premier cataract and LASIK mobile services provider in the U.S. We have an opening at our headquarters in Bloomington, MN for a Controller.

This position is onsite in Bloomington, MN. We are not considering remote candidates at this time.

The Controller will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. In this role, he/she will oversee the accounting operations of the company, including financial reporting, accounting processes, and internal controls. The Controller will work closely with the finance team, General Managers, and operational leaders to support the monthly close process, prepare financial reporting packages, and provide insights to support business decisions. This position requires the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Oversee the month-end close process and communicate with key stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
* Manage the accumulation and consolidation of financial data necessary for accurate accounting of business results
* Coordinate and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
* Prepare internal financial reporting packages for leadership and executive review
* Plan, direct, and coordinate accounting operational functions including accounts payable and accounts receivable
* Serve as a key resource for accounting questions and triage inquiries related to financial processes and transactions
* Partner with General Managers and operations teams to support financial inquiries and business decisions
* Assist with financial system setup for new customers, routes, or operational changes, including financial mapping and tree structure setup
* Coordinate activities of external auditors and assist with audit requests and documentation
* Evaluate accounting and internal control systems and recommend improvements to processes and procedures
* Provide financial insights and reporting to support management decision making
* Hire, train, and develop accounting staff while fostering a collaborative team environment
* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
* 7+ years of relevant accounting experience
* Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
* Experience with MS Dynamics GP (Great Plains) strongly preferred
* CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
* Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail
* Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
* Ability to work collaboratively across departments and support operational teams
