Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As a Communications Coordinator, you will support a team of professional communicators with a variety of internal and external communications projects that engage employees, drive brand awareness, and highlight the firm's culture and expertise in the financial services industry.

What will you do?

  • Provide editorial support (research, writing, proofreading) for internal and external communications projects, such as intranet articles, employee emails, press releases and social media posts.
  • Maintain a calendar of corporate award opportunities and deadlines and assist with submission process.
  • Provide support for financial advisor industry award nomination and announcement process.
  • Support employee events and town halls with internal promotion and logistical assistance.
  • Publish daily content to internal sites.
  • Coordinate and distribute regular email messages and articles for internal audiences.
  • Assist with tracking media coverage and social media content and share monitoring reports with internal stakeholders.
  • Support the Corporate Communications team with tasks like managing email distribution lists, creating media lists and scheduling events.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 4-year degree in Communications, Journalism or related field from an accredited university or equivalent
  • 1+ years of professional office work experience
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects at the same time
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite applications (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel)
  • Self-starter with the ability to meet prescribed deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Nice-to-have

  • Experience working in a Communications or Marketing department
  • Knowledge of the securities industry, financial markets and related terminology
  • Familiarity with AI tools and how to leverage them responsibly

The expected salary range for this particular position is $50,000-$80,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.

You have the potential to earn more through RBC's discretionary variable compensation program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
