Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work on-site with our client in Fremont, CA. Interested? Here's what you'd do: Responsible for preventative/corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, and calibration on equipment in the applications lab. Performs the preventative/corrective maintenance using needed Personal Protective Equipment, which may include APR (Air Purifying Respirator) and SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus) for safe handling of hazardous materials. Works closely with and supports Process Development, Hardware, and Software Engineering departments' R&D activities and customer demos/commits. Installs and supports prototype equipment and may develop procedures and documentation as needed in support of design and R&D activities, which likely have little or no written procedures. This job may also include aspects of field and direct customer support and is not limited to system hardware and software. Occasionally may train Field Service Engineers, Engineering Technicians, other Laboratory Service Engineers, or Process Engineers from regional accounts. Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Minimum 4 years of experience in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, fluidic systems, and vacuum systems Preferred Skills / Qualifications: Associate's Degree Bachelor's Degree Semiconductor industry experience Proficient in the use of a variety of hand tools and electronic test equipment for maintenance, repair, and assembly tasks Additional Information : Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check. Capable of working in a cleanroom environment, wearing personal protective safety equipment, or a cleanroom suit. Be needed to travel domestically and internationally to customer sites to address tool/system issues that cannot be resolved without their support.
