Founded in 1890, Scripps Mercy Hospital is the oldest hospital in San Diego County, with campuses in Chula Vista and Hillcrest. The hospital features 700 licensed acute-care beds and is home to 1,300 physicians across both locations. Our mission is to make a measurable, positive impact on the health of the communities we serve. What you will do: Focus on Quality & Performance Improvement. Manage publicly reported and other significant quality measures and performance improvement in collaboration with administrative, clinical and physician leadership for their assigned service line. Perform concurrent review of medical records for core measures and other clinical indicators based on established definitions and provides real time feedback and intervention with clinical staff and physicians to ensure optimal quality patient care. Abstract records based on established indicators of the medical staff for peer review for assigned populations; facilitates the peer review process, ongoing physician performance review and decision support for medical staff reappointment. You'll have the opportunity to work with all levels of the organization, from front-line staff to executives, and have access to mentorship and continuous learning.
