  • Location: Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (Onsite)

  • Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

  • Pay: Compensation ranges from $60 to $68K, based on experience, education, and qualifications.


We're looking for a dynamic HR Generalist with a strong passion for fullcycle recruiting and building meaningful relationships. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys connecting with people, and wants to play a key part in shaping a positive employee experience from first contact through long-term engagement.


Human Resource Support:



  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for a variety of roles, from job posting to offer acceptance.

  • Conduct phone screens, inperson interviews, and coordinate hiring manager interviews.

  • Develop creative sourcing strategies to attract high-quality candidates.

  • Maintain an organized applicant tracking process and ensure a smooth candidate experience.

  • Facilitate all aspects of new hire onboarding, including orientation sessions, documentation, and firstday coordination.

  • Attend job fairs, community events, and networking opportunities to promote the organization and attract talent.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with staffing agencies, community organizations, and referral partners to support ongoing hiring needs.

  • Serve as a resource for employees by addressing questions, concerns, and workplace issues with professionalism and confidentiality.

  • Support HR leadership in resolving employee relations matters and promoting a positive workplace culture.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.


Direct Operational Support:



  • Team & Shift Support: Assist with planning, scheduling, and monitoring the daily activities of the Custodial team

  • Janitorial Duties: Participate in hands-on custodial duties as needed.

  • Shuttle Driving: Operate the company van to transport employees to and from work in a safe and timely manner.


What You'll Need to be Successful:



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (required).

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of HR experience, with a strong emphasis on recruiting.

  • 2 years of experience in human resources.

  • Proficiency with recruiting platforms and/or HRIS tools.

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.

  • Ability to gain and maintain base access.


Bonus If You Have These Skills:



  • Professional HR certification (SHRMCP, SHRMSCP, PHR, SPHR)

  • Familiarity with the AbilityOne program and compliance.

  • Familiarity with CBAs and federal/state labor laws including HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and ADA.

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities.

  • Ability to build trust and rapport with candidates, employees, and external partners.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Physical, Environmental, & Emotional Demands:



  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, and squat during shifts.

  • Safely operate and drive the company shuttle bus, sometimes in variable weather conditions.

  • May be exposed to cleaning chemicals and other hazardous materials; proper use of safety equipment is required.

  • Work in various environments, including office buildings, restrooms, and outdoor areas.

  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions, depending on the location and weather.

  • Provide patient, respectful, and supportive communication to employees with varying abilities and needs.

  • Handle stressful or unexpected situations with a problem-solving mindset.
