The MCVP Operations Program Manager partners with the Chief Operating Officer of MCV Physicians and other MCVP business leaders to drive operational excellence and enhance business functions and processes. This role works to advance MCVP operational priorities through effective program management and communication.
The MCVP Operations Program Manager collaborates with MCVP leaders and providers to proactively address and improve operational efficiency issues. This includes organizing, designing, implementing, evaluating, and communicating strategies to enhance organizational productivity and provider engagement while ensuring alignment with MCVP policies and operational priorities. Essential Job Statements Practice Plan Operations Organizes, directs, and manages functions that support daily practice plan operations in collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer. Leads and participates in team and project meetings to address and resolve problems. Fosters a strong sense of collaboration, equity, and team spirit across departments. Program Management of Key MCVP Operational Initiatives Oversees key MCVP operations initiatives such as special councils, committees and revenue cycle optimization projects. Analyzes operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Develops and implements plans in collaboration with MCVP leadership and provider stakeholders. Develops and implements strategies to drive continuous improvement. Tracks progress, regularly reports on project status and results, and maintains contact between MCVP leadership and project stakeholders. Sets and achieves goals by creating clear and actionable project plans to improve operational performance and fosters a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Facilitates regular meetings with key stakeholders and leaders within MCVP to drive goal attainment. Coordinates work assignments, tracks progress and responds to all requests. Documents and distributes meeting minutes of project tasks, open items, and the status of work deliverables. Identifies and manages project obstacles and challenges and outlines recommendations for resolution. Ensures key operational initiatives are completed as defined and in a timely manner. Trains other leaders on data reporting tools and reporting expectations. Communications Provides continuous feedback and updates to MCVP leadership and key stakeholders on program updates. Communicates effectively in a matrix environment, engaging with collaborators across service lines and functional departments to drive shared goals and integrated solutions. Builds relationships across the VCU/VCUHS enterprise to align and influence. Policy and Resource Development Oversees the development, review, and maintenance of MCVP policies, SOPs, and related documentation. Synthesizes complex operational information into clear guidance. Supports process improvement, workflow standardization, and operational modernization initiatives. Leads special projects as assigned by the MCVP COO. Patient Population: N/A Employment Qualifications Education Required: Bachelor's degree in health administration or business administration. Education Preferred: Master' s degree in Health Administration or Business Administration. Licensing/ Certification Licensure Required: N/A Licensure Preferred: Certifications and/or registrations in functional area Certification Required: N/A Certification Preferred: N/A Minimum Qualifications Years and Type of Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience with two (2) years in a healthcare administration setting developing and coordinating programs in health care or business industries.
