As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Unit in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed Security Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations with professionalism, reliability, and integrity while working as part of a team in a dynamic environment that puts people first.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with site protocols, verifying credentials and/or directing individuals as needed.
• Support public-facing operations by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and communicating professionally with personnel, visitors, and/or first responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
