Job Description

About the role:

The Senior Lead Analyst, Strategy and Planning plays a critical role in standing up and operating FIS' Enterprise Portfolio Management (EPM) function. This role drives enterprise-level visibility, governance, and optimization of capital investment across Banking, Payments, and Capital Markets.

The role partners closely with leadership, Finance, Product, Technology, and Business Unit leaders to evaluate strategic initiatives, guide capital allocation decisions, and ensure investments are aligned to growth priorities, board commitments, and long-term financial targets. The individual will develop and oversee sophisticated analytical and financial models, translate insights into executive-ready recommendations, and materially influence tradeoff decisions across the enterprise.

What youwillbe doing:

Enterprise Portfolio & Capital Strategy

  • Help define and operationalize FIS' enterprise capital allocation framework and investment governance model.

  • Evaluate and prioritize strategic initiatives across Banking, Payments, and Capital Markets, balancing growth, ROI, risk, and strategic fit.

  • Drive consistency in how investments are assessed, business cases are structured, and outcomes are measured across business units.

Strategic Analysis & Financial Modeling

  • Develop, maintain, and oversee advanced financial and analytical models to assess investment performance, capital efficiency, and scenario tradeoffs.

  • Analyze portfolio performance versus plan, identifying underperformance, misalignment, and reallocation opportunities.

  • Support early identification of capital recourse opportunities through rigorous tracking and variance analysis.

Executive Decision Support

  • Synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights for executive leadership and enterprise decision forums.

  • Prepare executive- and Board-ready materials related to capital allocation, portfolio health, ROI performance, and strategic progress.

  • Provide fact-based recommendations on pivotal business decisions impacting enterprise strategy and long-range planning.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Governance

  • Partner closely with Finance, Technology, Product, Solution Management, Sales, and Business Unit leaders to drive aligned investment decisions.

  • Establish operating rhythms, governance forums, and decision cadences to support ongoing portfolio management.

  • Influence without authority to drive alignment and execution across a highly matrixed organization.

Portfolio Transparency & Reporting

  • Contribute to the development of real-time dashboards and reporting that provide enterprise-wide visibility into capital deployment, project health, and returns vs. plan.

  • Support ongoing reporting related to enterprise priorities such as:

    • End-of-life (EOL) and resiliency posture

    • AI investment velocity and progress versus board commitments

    • Capital ROI and strategic outcome tracking (e.g., ACV, revenue impact)

Process Improvement & Capability Building

  • Establish and improve processes, standards, and analytical approaches that materially increase efficiency, consistency, and decision quality.

  • Help define minimum requirements for investment governance, reporting, and planning artifacts across the enterprise.

  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the development of the EPM team's analytical and strategic capabilities.

What you will need:

  • Recognized subject-matter expert in strategy, investment analysis, portfolio management, or enterprise planning.

  • Demonstrated experience developing and using complex financial and analytical models to support executive decision-making.

  • Strong background partnering with senior leaders in highly matrixed, enterprise environments.

  • Proven ability to translate ambiguity into structure, insight, and action.

  • Exceptional communication skills, with demonstrated experience presenting to executive leadership.

  • Experience driving process improvement and implementing new operational frameworks with enterprise impact.

Added bonusif you have:

  • Experience in financial services, fintech, payments, banking, or capital-intensive technology environments.

  • Background in enterprise strategy, portfolio management, corporate finance, FP&A, or investment analytics.

  • Exposure to Board-level reporting, long-range planning (LRP), and annual budgeting processes.

The pay range for this full-time position is $0.00 - $999,999,999.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay.
