Senior Equipment Sales Support Specialist serves as a senior subject-matter resource for equipment, parts, and service order execution, ensuring exceptional customer experience while enabling the Industrial Project Sales team to meet revenue and margin objectives. This role owns end-to-end quote-to-cash support for complex and high-value opportunities; partners with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and vendors to resolve escalations; and drives improvements to pricing, order management, and customer service processes. Responsibilities include developing accurate quotations, supporting RFP responses, coordinating product training and enablement, and producing actionable reporting and insights to improve forecast accuracy, cycle time, and customer satisfaction.

Compensation: $60,000-$70,000

Schedule: 8:00am-5:00 pm Mon-Fri; Hybrid 3 days in office, 2 days remote



Responsibilities

    Own and prioritize the customer inquiry and order pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up, accurate documentation, and consistent customer communication for complex and high-impact requests.
  • Develop, review, and deliver accurate quotes for equipment, parts, and service (including special pricing), applying sound judgment to ensure compliance with pricing governance and margin objectives.
  • Lead end-to-end order execution (entry, acknowledgements, changes, returns, warranty, and issue resolution), coordinating with Operations, Engineering, and vendors to meet delivery commitments.
  • Serve as an escalation point for customer complaints and internal blockers; identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Support RFP and proposal responses by consolidating technical and commercial inputs, validating scope/pricing, and ensuring on-time, high-quality submissions.
  • Produce and interpret sales support metrics and reporting (e.g., cycle time, backlog, margin, order accuracy), providing insights and recommendations to the sales team and leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across quote-to-cash processes, including standard work, templates, and system/data quality improvements (CRM/ERP), to improve efficiency and customer experience.
  • Coach and provide day-to-day guidance to peers on processes, tools, and best practices; contribute to onboarding and knowledge management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in chemistry, engineering, other technical degree, Business, or Marketing acceptable.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in sales support, customer service, order management, or related commercial operations role (equipment/industrial environment preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, high-volume workflows with strong attention to detail, prioritization, and follow-through.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); ability to create and analyze reports and dashboards.
  • Experience working in an ERP system required; CRM experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including customer-facing and cross-functional communication with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and vendors.
  • Proven problem-solving and escalation management skills; ability to identify root causes and implement process improvements.
  • Water treatment and/or related industry experience preferred, working knowledge of products and applications a plus
