LONG TERM CARE OMBUDSMAN- Covering Luzerne & Wyoming Counties

Remote Work

Ombudsman work with residents and staff of long-term care facilities. Assist in receiving, investigating, and resolving complaints, advocating for the rights of residents. Provided information about the Ombudsman program to residents, family, and the community. Coordinates activities of the Ombudsman Program. Maintains records and submits reports. Work from home, but travel is required.

Mandated Training through the PA Long- Term Care Ombudsman Office is provided. Employer-provided cell phone, work computer, and other supplies.

QUALIFICATIONS: Effective communication skills verbal and written. Excellent listening skills, ability to assess situations, collect data, define problems, establish facts, analyze problems, and strategize solutions. Computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft 365, helpful.  Must have reliable transportation and PA Driver’s License and must reside in Luzerne or Wyoming Counties. Experience working with older adults a plus.
