This role calls for an innovative, adaptable educator who is committed to advancing the Diagnostic Medical Sonography programs, which include both a B.S. Full-Time Program and a Certificate, while fostering a respectful, challenging, and student-centered learning environment. The successful candidate will play a central role in promoting the program within the university and throughout the region, while leading key efforts in strategic recruitment and retention, accreditation oversight, faculty development, and curriculum innovation, all in alignment with Misericordia's mission-driven commitment to service, academic excellence, and the holistic development of students. The bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography offers a complementary balance between specialized sonography coursework and a broad-based liberal arts foundation, enriching students' intellectual growth while nurturing spirituality, creativity, and a global perspective. In addition, an 18-month certificate program is offered for adult or non-traditional learners seeking convenient and predictable scheduling by offering alternating weekend classes and a weekday clinical education component alongside our traditional undergraduate DMS students. We offer interprofessional experiences throughout the year with our nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, physician assistant studies, and speech-language pathology students. The program has an on-time completion rate of 100% and integrates classroom learning with simulated lab experiences in our recently expanded and updated DMS lab facility.
