ABOUT THE POSITION: The Sr. Electronic Engineering Technician is a key contributor within the electronics engineering team, responsible for supporting the build, test, and validation of electronic products and processes. This hands-on role works closely with engineers and project teams to coordinate SMT trails, procure prototype materials, build and test assemblies, and ensure documentation accuracy. You'll play an integral part in troubleshooting PCB assemblies, executing engineering tasks, and driving progress across projects.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE: You're an experienced technician who brings strong electronic aptitude and thrives in a hands-on, problem-solving environment. You have 5+ years of experience in a technical or technician role (ideally within manufacturing) and an associate degree or 2 years in a bachelor's degree program in an engineering-related field are preferred. You're skilled in reading schematics, supporting SMT builds, working with PCB assemblies, and using diagnostic tools like oscilloscopes and multimeters to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

You take ownership of your work, communicate effectively across teams, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. with strong analytical skills and attention to detail, you're able to identify issues, recommend solutions, and help move engineering work forward efficiently.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

You will EXPLORE, INNOVATE, and PERFORM by:



  • Supporting engineering & project tasks as defined by manager, engineers, designers, and other staff.
  • Conducting testing and evaluation of products and processes; troubleshooting PCB assemblies.
  • Creating and building engineering samples and/or equipment, including assembling and soldering prototype PCBs.
  • Procuring parts, materials, and equipment, including researching needs, coordinating with sourcing, and maintaining lab inventory.
  • Coordinating electronics engineering activities and SMT prototype builds; ensuring materials, boards, and timing align with build schedules.
  • Creating and maintaining product, process, and equipment documentation.
  • Leading problem solving activities using PDCA.
  • Participating on product / process improvement teams and executing tasks as required.
  • Using standard methods for data collection and analysis; writing technical reports including recommendations for corrective action.
  • Analyzing parts and equipment issues and initiating corrective actions as required; performing PCB rework and repair.
  • Providing training to other technicians as required.

      Qualifications
      Education
      Associates of Electronics Engineering Technology (preferred)
      Experience
      5 years: Soldering (required)
      5 years: Reading electrical schematics (required)
