Description

Phoenix Defense is currently seeking applicants for Electronic Technician Maintenance III at Fort Carson, CO. This position is in support of the Warfighter-Training Readiness Solutions Program (W-TRS).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Perform all functions required to maintain, repair and operate Trackless Moving Targets (TMT)
  • Maintain appropriate Contractor Performance Factor (CPF) status for assigned training devices by performing all functions required to maintain and repair Trackless Moving Targets (TMT)
  • Apply basic and advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting military specifications, manufacturer's manuals, or similar technical documents to perform training system PMCS, troubleshooting and fault isolation
  • Work closely with Instructors during training execution to resolve device issues in a timely manner so they do not detract from the training experience
  • Assist in maintaining other training devices during manpower shortages and training surges
  • Capture and record accurate maintenance history ensuring unique corrective measures for work orders
  • Safely operate vehicles; navigate established range roads and trails
  • Support military Rotational Training Units training
  • Support quality, security, and safety training programs
  • Ensures safety procedures are adhered to
  • This position may require travel to other installations and other W-TRS locations


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • 5-7 years' experience as an Electronic Technician Maintenance or similar position
  • Proficient with basic computer systems including Microsoft Outlook and Office applications
  • Ability to prioritize work, complete multiple tasks, be detail oriented, and adaptable
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain installation driving privileges
  • Must be able to support various locations for various lengths of training support
  • Must be a High School Graduate or have a GED


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES:

* 3-5 years' experience with military training ranges

* Exemplary multitasking and organizational skills

* Excellent communication skills

  • Work is performed in both an office and outdoor environment

  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing: viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading
  • Stand for long periods of time
