JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Penn State Human Resources Talent Management is seeking a part-time Talent Management Associate to join our team of dedicated learning and development professionals.

This position will be responsible for hosting and moderating our instructor-led, online learning programs.

The successful candidate must demonstrate professionalism, excellent customer service, strong attention to detail, public speaking confidence, effective time and task management, as well as proficiency with virtual meeting technologies. Experience with Cornerstone Learning Management System and Zoom is a plus!

Typical duties include:

- Serving as virtual session host and moderator for live online training programs

- Setting up Zoom-based learning events

- Managing training program activities (polls, breakout rooms, chat) for the instructor during workshops

- Managing course rosters in our learning management system (Cornerstone)

- Distributing evaluation links to participants after session and pulling reports for program leads

- Responding to instructor and participant questions prior to and during the workshop

- Other duties as assigned

Programs typically occur Tuesday through Thursday between the hours of 8:30am - 5:00pm. Specific work hours will vary week-to-week but be provided well in advance. May work up to 24 hours per week from mid-January through mid-May and mid-August through mid-December with summers off.

Location:

*Remote - Candidates must live within commuting distance of the University Park campus and be able to work on-site from time to time. Additionally, candidates are responsible for providing a safe, private, and secure workspace, free from interruptions; with adequate internet speed to perform duties effectively in accordance with University Policy.

Start Date & Training Schedule:
The selected candidate will begin on August 3 with a light training schedule. Regular hours are expected to ramp up in early September.

Typically requires an associate's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation for this position is $16 per hour.
