The Associate, Production Design is a technical and executional design resource within New Era's internal Creative Services team. Working closely with internal team members, this role is responsible for translating large-volume project data into final form deliverables. This role scripts and automates data-driven processes in design workflows to support various brand, sport, and lifestyle programs.

A successful candidate thrives in a fast-paced and deadline-driven work environment, has strong technical abilities, and delivers high-quality assets to maintain New Era's brand standard and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Work within the Creative Services team to support project workflows for brand, sport, and lifestyle programs
  • Produce high-quality and visually engaging assets for presentation decks, catalogs and sales tools, and marketing materials
  • Translate large-volume project data into final form deliverables
  • Serve as a technical partner to script and automate tasks and processes in workflows
  • Produce creative assets within brand, league, and campaign-specific style guide requirements
  • Individually manage multiple projects daily while meeting established deadlines
  • Follow a workflow consistent with best practices and timeliness defined by the Creative Services team
  • Keep confidential all sensitive/unreleased materials
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, project management tools including Asana, and AI prompt engineering
  • Experience with scripting for data-driven publishing and design workflows leveraging CSV files and automation tools such as JavaScript and AppleScript
  • Solid foundation in graphic and visual design principles
  • Experience working across print and digital production outputs
  • Ability to work within brand guidelines while finding creative ways to apply new technology and ideas
  • Comfortable and confident working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and efficiently prioritize workday to maximize productivity
  • Highly organized with the ability to adhere to pre-defined conventions, processes, and workflows
  • Comfortable collaborating in a cross-functional team environment as well as working independently
  • Appreciation and interest in sports/lifestyle apparel

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic or Media Design or a related field is preferred; additional experience in lieu of degree will be considered
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience in graphic design production with a focus on technical execution
  • A portfolio of work demonstrating the skills associated with this position is required

  • The location for this position is 100% on-site in Buffalo, NY
  • 0% to 5%; domestic and/or global

The salary range for this posted position is $40,000 - $48,000 (plus bonus & benefits) and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Actual compensation will fall within this range and is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
