TEKsystems is looking to hire Medical Receptionists for a healthcare office in Livonia, MI! *If you have 2-3 years of Receptionist experience, please send your most updated resume to rsison @ teksystems.com - interviews are first come, first serve!* Job Title: Medical Receptionist Location: Livonia, MI Hours: M-F 8:30a-5p EST Job Description: * You will sit at the front desk, take inbound calls, greet guests, set patients up in rooms. You will work with customers and patients alike, answering phones, and you must have the ability to handle stress and multi-tasking. You'll have to answer calls primarily from elderly individuals so you have to be sympathetic and very patients. You will also assist with walk-ins. * Attendance and adhering to the punctuality and dependability policies are key. * Answer incoming calls, actively maintaining open communication with patients, referral sources, corporate and branch offices in other territories - these calls can be transferred depending on where someone lives. This needs to be verified in the call. * Verify medical insurance information - the more familiar you are with a variety of insurances and their portals, the better! Otherwise, training to use the internal software will occur. * Process orders in the system and maintain a current status on on orders to be processed. This is where the multi-phone calls will go outbound to customers. MUST HAVES: * This is an office setting, fully onsite, and face-to-face with customers. * Some healthcare admin experience or insurance verification experience is preferred. * Must have good job tenure (no jobs less than 2 years). * Must have a experience working in a fast-paced environment and can calmly multi-task, work an order in the computer, and juggle a walk-in at the same time. * Must have excellent attitude given to the customers and patients. The customers and patients need to feel they are taken care of. * Ability to handle the thigh volume of customer interaction along with the stress levels that come along with that as well as the ability to diffuse tough situations is a MUST. * Attention to detail is key, along with organizational skills. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Livonia, MI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.25 - $22.00/hr.
