IT Project Manager - Clinical Applications (Design & Construction) TEKsystems is seeking an IT Project Manager (Clinical Applications) to support a healthcare Design & Construction (D&C) portfolio. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering all clinical technology components across hospital design and construction initiatives. The IT Project Manager serves as the primary liaison between IT, clinical stakeholders, facilities/design & construction teams, vendors, and construction partners to ensure technology solutions are seamlessly integrated into new builds, renovations, expansions, and clinic openings.
The successful candidate will ensure that clinical systems, infrastructure, and technologyenabled workflows are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and patient care objectives. *Responsibilities* * Lead endtoend project management for clinical technology scope within capital construction projects, including new hospitals, clinics, renovations, and site expansions * Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies * Coordinate activities across multiple workstreams and project phases, from planning and design through installation, testing, golive, and transition to operations * Manage the planning, deployment, and integration of clinical technologies, including: * EHRadjacent systems * Medical device connectivity * Nurse call systems * RealTime Location Systems (RTLS) * Patient engagement and clinical communication platforms * AV systems, telemetry, and other clinical infrastructure * Ensure technology designs align with clinical workflows, safety standards, and operational readiness requirements * Partner closely with Facilities and Design & Construction teams to align IT deliverables with construction schedules and milestones * Review architectural drawings, RFPs, and design documentation to ensure appropriate inclusion of clinical technology requirements * Participate in design reviews, coordination meetings, construction walkthroughs, and site readiness assessments * Serve as the primary point of contact for clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders related to project technology scope * Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and escalation needs to leadership and project sponsors * Manage relationships with vendors, consultants, and system integrators to ensure contract deliverables and performance expectations are met * Ensure all solutions adhere to organizational IT standards, cybersecurity requirements, interoperability expectations, and applicable regulatory guidelines (e.g., HIPAA, Joint Commission) * Support capital governance processes by contributing to business cases, schedules, and technology cost estimates * Maintain project documentation, lessons learned, and transition plans to support operational handoff *Qualifications & Experience* * Wellrounded clinical project management background * Experience supporting clinical technology within Design & Construction or capital projects * Experience managing EHRrelated projects (Epic and/or Cerner required) * Subject matter experts will be available, but prior handson EHR project leadership is required *Location & Travel* * Must be local to the Indianapolis area * Travel to Bloomington: * Up to 1 day per week during early project phases * Monthly or every 2-3 months thereafter * Additional regional travel may be required for other assigned construction projects * Up to approximately 2 hours north or 1-1.5 hours south * Remote work when not traveling *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Indianapolis, IN. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
