Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Dental Sterilization Technician to support our clinical operations and ensure the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. In this role, you will be responsible for the cleaning, sterilization, tracking, and organization of dental instruments and equipment, while working closely with providers and the clinical team to support efficient patient care. Key Responsibilities * Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and organize dental instruments and handpieces in accordance with OSHA and infection control standards * Ensure instruments are sterilized promptly upon receipt in the central sterilization area * Maintain cleanliness, order, and organization of all sterilization and supply areas * Accurately document and maintain logs for sterilization cycles and spore testing * Utilize tracking systems to monitor instruments throughout the sterilization process * Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring supplies are well-stocked and accurately ordered * Communicate proactively with the Lead Sterilization Technician regarding equipment issues, supply shortages, or procedural concerns * Support providers by addressing instrument needs and special requests in a timely manner * Attend meetings as required and contribute to continuous improvement efforts * Promote teamwork and effective working relationships to support the Dental Center's goals and objectives Required Skills * 2+ years of sterile processing experience (ideally in dental) * Expertise in Infection control * Experience in inventory accuracy Additional Skills & Qualifications * Strong understanding of infection control and OSHA standards * Familiarity with medical and dental instruments * Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation * Strong organizational skills with attention to detail * Ability to prioritize tasks to meet clinical and procedural schedules * Comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment * Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills Why Join Our Team? * Play a critical role in maintaining patient safety and quality of care * Work in a collaborative, team-focused dental environment * Opportunity to contribute to efficient clinical operations and high standards of excellence Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
