HealthPartners is hiring a Sales Executive- Medicare & Individual ACA Business Development (Northeastern WI). This role is responsible for driving the growth of HealthPartners' Medicare and Individual ACA membership. The Sales Executive builds and maintains strong, mutually beneficial relationships with brokers, advocates, consultants, and other community partners to meet and exceed net membership growth goals across Northeastern Wisconsin.

This role serves Northeast Wisconsin, supporting a seventeencounty territory that includes Green Bay, Appleton, and Oshkosh. The position is minimally inoffice, with one regular day per week (Wednesdays) at the Green Bay regional office for collaboration, team discussions, and workgroup meetings.

The role requires occasional overnight travel within the service territory and to the Bloomington corporate office. Work is primarily fieldbased (approximately 80%), with the remaining time spent working from a home office. The position focuses on supporting brokers, agencies, and community partners through active market engagement and community outreach. Responsibilities include representing the organization at broker events, community meetings, seminars, and industry activities, as well as building strong partnerships with brokers and community influencers, including SHIP counselors, to strengthen relationships and promote product awareness.

Reporting to the Senior Sales Director, Medicare and Individual Health Solutions, this position is part of a highly collaborative team of approximately twenty professionals, including sales executives, account executives, account managers, sales representatives, and specialists. The team works closely together to support sales strategy execution, strengthen partner relationships, and deliver sustainable growth across the Medicare and Individual markets.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and demonstrated success in health insurance sales.
  • Sales or insurance experience within the healthcare industry, with a preference for experience in Medicare health insurance sales.
  • Ability to manage multiple project assignments with short deadlines.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office or comparable applications.
  • Hold or obtain a Wisconsin health insurance license within three months of hire and be eligible for licensure in both states.
  • Must be able to pass an annual Medicare Certification test, preferably AHIP.
  • Current, valid, unrestricted driver's license in the state of residence, with no major traffic violations or pattern of repeated violations in the past three years, and daily access to a reliable, insured vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years of sales or insurance experience within the healthcare industry, with a preference for experience in Medicare health insurance sales.
  • Experience working with the insurance brokerage community, with strong knowledge of Medicare enrollment, benefits, CMS Medicare Marketing Guidelines, and the Medicare, Individual Commercial, and provider markets.
  • Current, active Wisconsin health insurance licenses.
  • Proven experience developing sales territories and driving sustained growth within an assigned market.

Hours/Location:

  • M-F; core business hours
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as business needs require.
  • Serves Northeast Wisconsin (17 counties, including Green Bay, Appleton, and Oshkosh). Minimal inoffice requirement with one set day per week (Wednesdays) at the Green Bay regional office.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead broker strategy and growth by identifying, recruiting, and developing high-performing brokers, agencies, and strategic partners to drive Medicare and Individual ACA enrollment and expand market share.
  • Build and manage broker relationships by maintaining strong, productive partnerships aligned with organizational goals and delivering consistent engagement to support performance and retention.
  • Drive sales performance through broker channels by actively managing the pipeline, monitoring key metrics, and executing targeted growth initiatives aligned with territory and organizational priorities.
  • Monitor competitive landscape and market dynamics by tracking emerging competitor actions, broker sentiment, product positioning, pricing, commission strategies, and enrollment tactics, and proactively providing actionable market feedback and insights to inform strategy, product, and gotomarket decisions.
  • Deliver broker enablement and training by planning and facilitating training, sales presentations, and educational sessions, while providing ongoing coaching and support on products, enrollment processes, and sales strategies.
  • Ensure compliance and maintain subject matter expertise by adhering to CMS guidelines and company policies and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Medicare regulations, enrollment requirements, and industry trends.
  • Execute market engagement and community outreach by representing the organization at broker events, community meetings, seminars, and industry engagements, and partnering with brokers and community influencers (including SHIP counselors) to promote product awareness.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally by partnering with marketing, product, enrollment, and internal stakeholders to align strategy, messaging, campaigns, and growth initiatives.
  • Utilize systems and manage operations by maintaining proficiency in tools used to track sales activity, manage broker relationships, support compliance oversight, and maintain an accurate book of business.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
