Team Coordinator/Supply Chain Operations Warehouse Quality Assurance (QA) person, often titled a Warehouse Quality Inspector or Inventory Control Specialist, ensures that medical and surgical supplies are received, stored, and distributed safely and accurately, conforming to healthcare regulations. They play a critical role in preventing expired or damaged items from reaching patient care areas.

Core Responsibilities

  • Incoming Goods: Examining incoming shipments for damage, correct quantities, and discrepancies. (Service Now, Incomplete Drafts)
  • Inventory Integrity: Checking for expired items, managing stock rotation (FIFO - First In, First Out), and removing damaged/recalled inventory. Standard workflow review for PAR accuracy and Overstock.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintaining records for auditing purposes and ensuring compliance with safety standards, Joint Commission regulations, and manufacturer storage guidelines.
  • System Accuracy: Utilizing ERP or inventory management systems to track inventory, verify accuracy, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Storage Maintenance: Ensuring proper environmental conditions (temperature, humidity for sensitive supplies

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, storeroom, or logistics environment, ideally within a healthcare or medical setting.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in verifying part numbers, lot numbers, and expiration dates.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in electronic inventory management systems and software.

FTE: 1.0, Shift: Variable, Schedule: 8 hour shiffts

Position Summary

The Team Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of work performed by assigned staff. This position works directly with staff performing shift assignments and oversees the work performed by staff to accomplish work goals as required. Work situations are a variety of routine and non-routine functions, which require organization, prioritization, leadership, good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making. Internal contacts include staff and management throughout the health system. External contacts are limited.

Requirements


  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum two (2) years of applicable experience
  • Experience as a lead, team coordinator, or supervisor preferred
  • Current Washington State Drivers License; and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $20.27 - $29.16 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
