Hourly Pay Range:

$18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Position Highlights:
  • Position: Rehabilitation Technician - Per Diem - Days
  • Location: Arlington Heights, IL - Northwest Community Hospital
  • Per diem - hours as needed
  • Hours: 7:30am - 4pm;
  • Weekends: 2 Saturdays per month
  • Holidays: One summer holiday (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day) and one winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day) required
  • Required Travel: no
Job Summary Reporting to the Rehab Services Manager with accountability to the Director and Team, performs a variety of patient related activities and clerical duties assigned by a Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Speech-Language Pathologist, and/or Sports Medicine Athletic Trainer. The word "therapist", as used in this job description, refers to all of the above-mentioned positions. What you will do:
  • Assists therapist with patient set-up prior to treatment and with equipment removal following treatment. Provides support and assistance in various patient treatment activities.
  • Communicates treatment effects and changes in patient condition to the therapist.
  • Maintains department equipment, supplies and accessories. Cleans all equipment, maintains logs and checks equipment condition. Performs inventory control of departmental supplies and equipment.
  • Performs various clerical tasks which may include: filing medical records and patient documentation, retrieving medical records for HIM/EHS/PFS and copying records for requesting departments. Copies and faxes documentation to physicians and maintains log book. Prepares folders for therapy staff and envelopes for mailing and departmental correspondence.
  • Orders and maintains linen supplies, changes linens as needed and removes linen bags at end of day and/or as needed.

  • Education: The level of knowledge normally obtained through the completion of four years of high school, or the equivalent.
  • Certification: American Heart Association BLS CPR certification.
