DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports transportation grant and funding programs by reviewing documents, coordinating financial information and helping applicants and staff resolve issues. The work ensures that funding decisions follow all rules and requirements. As an Administrative Officer 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Grant Support: Review subgrants, identify issues and explain needed corrections in clear terms
- Funding Review: Verify available funds, apply proper codes and confirm compliance with state and federal rules
- Document Processing: Prepare agreements, track changes and assist applicants with electronic grant systems
- Financial Monitoring: Examine fiscal documents and determine correct payment amounts and coding
- Program Coordination: Resolve issues with applicants and staff while ensuring proper routing and approvals
- Regulation Compliance: Ensure all required documentation meets federal, state and PennDOT standards

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- This position may be eligible for alternate work schedule (AWS).
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
