As aCompliance Analystwith us, you will be required to understand the Medicare Supplement product, business and processes as well as monitor changes to laws and regulations to ensure compliance with State and Federal mandates. It will definitely be a whirlwind, but it will also be the place where you can help make the health system work better with the support and resources of a Fortune 6 leader.

If you call yourself a compliance guru, then you'll be perfect for this role. As you respond to inquiries, requests and actions, you'll need to be able to communicate research and findings in a meaningful way. This is an evolving position within our Compliance Team supporting our internal Agent Distribution Team for our Medicare supplement product.

The thing about this role is that you'll need to love eating, sleeping and breathing information. The stakes are high, and you'll need to be able to communicate research and findings in a meaningful way. You will be expected to monitor changes in requirements to mitigate risks and achieve compliance.

Schedule (40 hours/week):Monday - Friday, 8-hour shift between 7am - 5:30pm EST/CST w/30 min lunch

If you are residing inMinneapolis, MN or Washington, D.C.area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Agent Distribution team, responsible for supporting our field sales agents, and internal stakeholders, to support their understanding and adherence to applicable laws, regulations, contracts, etc.
  • Develop compliance communications and drive problem resolution
  • Maintain knowledge of state laws, including Medicare Supplement laws and regulations relating to advertising, producers, producer compensation, etc.
  • Monitor changes in requirements to mitigate risks and achieve compliance
  • Coordinate with the larger Sales Distribution Compliance organization to ensure consistency in policies and processes, as appropriate
  • Develop reports, projects, and assessment tools to verify compliance
  • Participate in cross-functional project teams and provide advice and guidance, as needed, to ensure agent activities are compliant
  • Evaluate, research, and assess proposals for new agent initiatives, e.g., electronic capabilities and enrollment methods, etc.
  • Review agent-facing communications to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance, including announcements, recruitment, training, guides, presentations, etc.
  • Review and evaluate escalated issues, obtain information as needed, and determine appropriate resolution.
  • As needed, assist with updating agent contracts, including compensation amendments.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 3+ years of experiencein a government, legal, and/or health insurance environment in a regulatory or compliance role (conducting research, monitoring & accessing compliance against state & federal regulations)
  • 2+ years of experiencecommunicating complex information with multiple internal customers
  • 2+ years of experience in the Medicare insurance, and/or regulations of health insurance plans
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Medicare Supplement insurance industry and the regulation of Medicare Supplement insurance
  • Experience in the regulation of, and compliance for agents/producers
  • Experience in a regulatory/compliance environment
  • Paralegal experience

Soft Skills:

  • Demonstrated solid problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven excellent organization and time management skills

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role willrange from $60,200 to $107,400 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
