This position will manage and review logistics contracts, perform logistics data analyses and calculate business cases to identify and exploit logistics cost optimization potentials in close collaboration with relevant interfaces

Major Task and Responsibilities

  • Develop and structure the long-term logistics infrastructure map for respective areas and compare expected volume developments and material flows with existing capacities on a rolling basis
  • Identify necessary action, develop optimization proposals and manage complex projects in the logistics environment
  • Manage and regularly review selected contracts for any need to adjust them due to volume growth, contract optimization, standardization of regulations, or legal requirements
  • Develop and optimize pricing models for the contracts with third-party companies managed by Site Logistics
  • Contribute to the conceptual development of a site logistics strategy by identifying, calculating and evaluating business cases for make/buy analyses, concept solutions and projects
  • Verify central invoices for logistic services in respective area and bring discrepancies to clarification to make invoice verification more traceable and efficient
  • Develop a KPI system for the evaluation and control of logistical processes, in particular regarding cost benchmarks in order to optimize performance and costs

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Economics or similar discipline; OR Associate's degree with 1+ years of experience; OR High School Diploma with 6+ years of experience

Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience/knowledge within supply chain management / logistics or contract management
  • Experience/knowledge within project management
