Job Overview
The Paint Production Supervisor will report to the Manager of Paint Manufacturing and will be responsible for driving continuous improvement through the manufacturing process. The Paint Production Supervisor provides leadership, support and direction to the manufacturing team members in Body Repair, Cab/Hood Paint, Chassis paint and Touch Up Paint, which include robotic and manual application of Axalta Paint.

Responsibilities
*Mentor and develop 50-75 production team members
*Achieve daily build targets in all areas, while maintaining a high quality level in all areas of the Paint Department.
*Drive the team to improve Key Performance Indicator's (KPI's)
* Adherence to Lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives.
*Assess and analyze current practices and drive improvements within the Paint Department.
*Partner and coordinate with Engineering, Materials, Maintenance, onsite Axalta staff and other internal departments to resolve issues and concerns.
*Prior management experience of similarly sized manufacturing team.
*Use of immediate escalation procedures to keep management informed of potential downtime, Quality and material issues that may effect delivery.
*Track and monitor daily and monthly overtime to reduce HPV and increase labor efficiency by establishing known targets that can be measured and documented.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
*Bachelor's degree required.
*Ability to use problem solving methods and techniques to successfully and efficiently resolve problems required.
*Proficiency in MS Office required
*An attached resume is required
Typical Minimum Experience Preferred (Desired Skills/Experience)
*6 years of related experience preferred
*Prior union experience preferred.
*The ideal candidate has a strong Paint background, is analytical, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to pro-actively communicate with all employees and works well in a fast-paced multi-cultural environment preferred.
*Experience with process improvement methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness preferred.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills preferred.
*Committed to continuous improvement preferred.
*Well organized preferred.
*Ability to work well under pressure, manage competing demands and meet tight deadlines with strong follow through preferred.
*Good understanding of mechanical and standardized Paint processes preferred.
*A strong sense of urgency and drive to succeed preferred.
