Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Support Lead to join our Benefits team. The Lead will be responsible for the following; Duties & Responsibilities
Partner with the Benefits Manager and senior team members to support and help optimize the administration of the corporate benefits portfolio, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, and voluntary benefit programs.
- Collaborate with team leads and the leave administration vendor to oversee employee leave of absence cases (STD, LTD, FMLA, state programs, parental leave, bereavement, jury duty, military leave, etc.), ensuring adherence to company policies and federal/state regulations.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefits and leave inquiries, providing clear, accurate, and timely guidance on enrollment, eligibility, coverage changes, and the leave process.
- Manage escalated or complex issues by coordinating with thirdparty administrators, benefits vendors, managers, and HR Business Partners (HRBPs), using sound judgment and working with senior team members as needed to ensure effective resolution.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze routine and ad hoc reports using Excel, HRIS, Payroll systems, and vendor data to support operations, audits, compliance activities, and process improvements.
- Oversee the Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) claims process with professionalism and sensitivity.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and proactively resolve discrepancies by partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
- Process benefitsrelated forms and documentation, including Medicare notices, lossofcoverage events, QMCSO, state disability insurance, adoption assistance, COBRA, and other required transactions.
- Support key annual and cyclical initiatives such as Open Enrollment, benefits orientation, COBRA administration, invoice review, system configuration/testing, and employee communications.
- Contribute to team projects, process enhancements, and special initiatives, taking ownership of assigned work and collaborating with senior team members to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in employee benefits, HR operations, customer service, or a related field with a Bachelors Degree.
- 4+ years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Experience in a large, complex, or highly regulated environment is a plus; familiarity with government contracting, unions, or Service Contract Act (SCA) compliance is beneficial.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Healthcare, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly and professionally.
- Highly detailoriented with strong analytical capabilities, including advanced Excel skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team; committed to delivering exceptional service to employees.
- Selfmotivated, adaptable, and eager to learn and grow in a fastpaced environment.
- Must be a US citizen.

Target Salary Range
$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
