This is a contract opportunity. The ideal candidate would have experience recruiting for investment banking, corporate banking and/or capital markets. Job Summary The Senior Recruiter is responsible for the full lifecycle of recruiting. This includes developing and executing strategic recruiting plans through research, cold calling, candidate development, assessment and presentation, negotiation of offers and relocation packages, and closing of new hires. As a strategic advisor to the hiring manager, the Senior Recruiter is expected to bring robust market knowledge to inform talent decisions with a goal of building diverse talent.
Essential Functions
- Develop and execute targeted recruiting plans to support defined talent needs.
- Build and execute search plans, including target lists, candidate assessment criteria, sourcing methodologies and tools, research, proactive cold calling, and candidate development.
- Communicate appropriately and consistently with hiring managers, HR partners, and all external contacts and potential candidates.
- Utilize passive and direct sourcing techniques to identify and attract prospective candidates and build a talent pipeline4.
- Rigorously assess talent and make hiring recommendations.
- Develop long-term relationships with potential candidates.
- Research industry competitive intelligence and analyze external market trends to inform talent and organization decisions.
- Partner with Compensation Managers and HR partners to manage hiring negotiations.
- Conduct thorough references and oversee the completion of background checks on final candidates.
- Fully utilize Key's applicant tracking system and ensure appropriate candidate disposition throughout the lifecycle of the search.
- Represent and differentiate KeyBank to external candidates by effectively describing Key's businesses, strategy, culture, and values.
- May manage external vendors, including contract researchers and search firms.
- Establish and nurture close partnerships with peers, other HR Centers of Excellence, and HR partners.
- Participate in appropriate department, client, and/or Corporate HR meetings, initiatives, and projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
- Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key's clients and Key.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (preferred)
Work Experience
- 3+ years of professional recruiting experience with at least 2 years of full lifecycle recruiting experience. (required)
- Investment Banking, Capital Markets, or Corporate/Commercial Banking experience. (preferred)
- Proven track record of developing, assessing, attracting, and hiring successful talent. (preferred)

- Effective verbal and written communication to interact with candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders
- Building and maintaining relationships, understanding candidate needs, and fostering a positive candidate experience
- Paying close attention to candidates' responses and concerns to better match them with suitable roles
- Handling salary discussions, job offers, and other terms of employment
- Managing multiple candidates and job openings simultaneously, keeping track of progress, and maintaining detailed records
- Ensuring accuracy in job descriptions, candidate profiles, and other documentation
- Addressing challenges such as hard-to-fill positions or unexpected changes in hiring needs
- Prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines and manage recruitment cycles efficiently
- Familiarity with recruitment software, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and other digital tools
- Understanding industry trends, salary benchmarks, and the competitive landscape

- General Office - Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face in person or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs.

- Occasional travel to include overnight stay.
Work Location Category
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $69,000.00 - $105,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
