Structured Fund Solutions is a division of Global Fund Banking and is a provider of bespoke bilateral and syndicated asset-backed lending solutions to private equity, private credit and venture capital funds.


Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join Structured Fund Solutions (SFS). You will be responsible for management of strategic initiatives in support of the team's structuring, underwriting and execution of complex asset-backed loans to private equity, private credit, and venture capital funds. As a senior member of the team, you will be required to optimize workplace productivity, identify and mitigate risk and promote an inclusive environment. A passion for leadership and client-focused approach is essential to ensure an exceptional level of service and organizational support to clients, the business and internal stakeholders.

  • Drive key strategic initiatives in support of the team's continuing of a suite of asset backed financing solutions to private funds, specifically, (i) lender financing to direct lenders, including private credit funds and BDCs, (ii) NAV financing to buyout and growth equity funds, and (iii) NAV financing to private equity secondaries funds.
  • Oversee the development of the approach to underwriting and mitigation of derivative related potential exposure to closed end funds
  • Oversee the underwriting of private funds with respect to both lending and trading activity
  • Involvement in the negotiation of legal documentation governing the terms of lending (e.g. term sheet, loan and security agreement) and trading (e.g. ISDA / CSA) activity
  • Prepare, and present, strategic initiatives and approval materials to senior management and senior approvers.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for partner lenders and as one of the primary points of contacts for origination teams across the bank
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Cultivate relationships with origination and risk management teams and various internal support functions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience infinance (structured credit, lender finance, corporate finance, leveraged finance and NAV finance) or HS Diploma/GED and 12 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a team leader or people manager position with ability to motivate and direct resources as required in a dynamic work environment
  • Strong prioritization skills, ability to deliver within tight timelines, effectiveness in planning and ensure quality output whilst demonstrating excellent attention to detail
  • Experience in interacting with senior leadership on credit risk appetite discussions
  • Experience working on and/or overseeing trading and lending risk activity with private funds
  • Knowledge of typical derivative (ISDA/CSA) market terms for trading activity with private funds
  • Strong numerical, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Undergraduate degree

The base pay for this position is relative to your experience but the range is generally $300,000 - $400,000 annually. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
