Software Systems Developer - Automotive Technology (Temp Position)

Dearborn, MI | $46.06/hr | Onsite

We are seeking an experienced Software Systems Developer for a temporary opportunity supporting next-generation automotive technology and connected vehicle systems in Dearborn, MI. This role is ideal for candidates with systems engineering, software development, and vehicle electrical systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of vehicle features from concept through production
• Create system architectures, wiring diagrams, and network designs
• Develop technical specifications, test plans, and verification documentation
• Support functional safety, cybersecurity, and quality initiatives
• Collaborate with software, electrical, and cross-functional engineering teams
• Analyze system performance and recommend design improvements
• Develop and support software and hardware integration solutions
• Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
• Work with suppliers and engineering teams on new technology implementation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field required
• 3+ years of systems engineering and software development experience
• Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems, networking, CAN communication, and software integration
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering, Python, C++, or similar tools
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle, system testing, and technical documentation
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Automotive engineering experience preferred
• Master's degree preferred
