Responsibilities

As the Financial Operations Specialist, you will run the financial operations of a fast-moving technical program in direct support of the warfighter. You will track and forecast budgets, monitor burn rates, manage funding documents, and give the program leadership a clear, current picture of where the money is and where it is going.

You will work across appropriations (O&M, RDT&E, Procurement) and funding vehicles to align resources to mission priorities, support reprogramming actions, and prepare financial inputs for POM, budget reviews, and unfunded requirement (UFR) submissions.

You will partner with contracting, program management, and the government resource manager to track obligations and expenditures, reconcile financial data across systems, and resolve discrepancies before they become problems. You will produce decision-ready financial briefs and dashboards for senior military leadership.

You proactively solve unusual and/or complex problems with little, or no direction given, and you operate effectively in a fast-paced technical environment supporting a 2-star level customer.

You are an expert with Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, Power Query) and fluent in PowerPoint and Word. You can build the deck for a financial review and brief it.

  • Experience supporting POM, budget submissions, and reprogramming actions
