The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Summary: The ideal Physician Recruiter will support the growth of RWJBarnabas Health Physician and Clinical Professional Recruitment Division with the logistics of recruitment processes to result in more cost-effective, expeditious and successful placement and retention of highly qualified physicians across the health system. Job Requirements:
- Bachelor s Degree: Appropriate experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
- A previous healthcare, sales, marketing, or recruiting background is preferred.
- Superior marketing and public relations skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally, and present practice opportunities in a positive manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior grammar and proofreading skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to demonstrate a professional and adaptable demeanor with internal and external clients, including administrators, physicians, peers, and support staff.
- Exhibit a high energy level, and demonstrate the ability to work as a team, with flexibility in work habits to schedule and meet the needs of the medical staff.
- Ability to multitask, plan and prioritize a large volume of detail-oriented work in accordance with changing deadlines.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision, set priorities, and follow through to accomplish results.
- Strong computer technology skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct Internet research in an efficient, productive manner.
- Valid driver's license required and means of transportation.
Essential Functions:
- Source physician candidates via job boards, email blasts, contact through organizations/associations, cultivating internal referrals, direct mail, telephone calls/cold calls, residency/fellowship programs, working with recruiting vendors, attendance at conferences, and through additional sourcing techniques, as identified.
- Support the Resident Development Initiative through continued outreach to RWJBarnabas Health residency and fellowship programs, leading career workshops, 1-on-1 consultations, and other events, as needed.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the health system and regional communities in order to assist with candidate inquiries.
- Maintain an updated list of position openings and assist with providing regular updates to Senior Administration and Hiring Managers, as needed.
- Support the candidate interview process, as needed; to include telephone coordination and confirmation with both the candidate and the client.
- Assist with facilitation of site visit for the physician candidate and spouse/significant other/family,
- This may include, but is not limited to, making arrangements for travel, lodging, meals, developing itineraries for physician, confirming meetings with administration, physicians and other staff members and providing transportation, as needed.
- Develop and maintain effective working knowledge of local physician employment agreements, employment process, offer packages, compensation and benefits in order to answer candidate questions, as needed.
- Facilitate the collection of documentation needed for the completion of the credentialing process (both hospital privileges and payer credentialing).
- Assist candidates with the reimbursement process for incidental expenses incurred by the candidate or spouse,
- Assist the physician with relocation, including distributing lists of vendors, collecting estimates, and archiving information, as needed.
- Participate in other duties and responsibilities as assigned in order to recruit and retain physicians.
