Job Summary

We are seeking a QA/QC Specialist to support quality assurance and quality control activities across large-scale new construction hyperscale data center projects. This role is responsible for inspecting procedures, specifications, installation methods, and completed work to ensure quality standards are met throughout all phases of production and installation. The QA/QC Specialist will review project and task records for accuracy and completeness before submission to the customer, identify non-conformance issues, support corrective actions, and help maintain consistent quality practices across active job sites. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in commercial data cable installation environments, a solid understanding of quality assurance methods and tools, and technical knowledge of server infrastructure, rack and stack activities, and fiber installations.

Job Responsibilities




  • Inspect installation procedures, specifications, methods, and completed work to verify compliance with project quality standards.



  • Review project records, task documentation, and closeout materials for accuracy and completeness before submission to the customer.



  • Perform quality inspections of data cable, fiber, server infrastructure, and related installation activities in new construction data center environments.



  • Verify compliance with installation standards for cable routing, labeling, termination, splicing, rack and stack activities, and general infrastructure quality.



  • Review blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation to confirm alignment with approved standards and scope requirements.



  • Identify quality issues, document non-conformance findings, and support corrective and preventive actions to resolve issues and reduce recurrence.



  • Track quality concerns, updates, and closeout information within applicable quality management systems and project documentation tools.



  • Evaluate materials, procedures, and installation methods prior to field implementation to ensure they meet project and quality requirements.



  • Support audits of installation practices and verify that the most current quality procedures and client installation standards are being followed.



  • Collaborate with project leadership, field teams, and other stakeholders to align quality activities with project schedules and deliverables.



  • Provide reporting on quality performance, inspection results, risks, open issues, and resolution status.



  • Participate in site meetings related to quality, installation standards, and project compliance.



  • Promote safe work practices and support compliance with OSHA requirements and site-specific safety expectations.




Job Requirements




  • High school diploma or GED required.



  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, process management, operations, or a related field preferred.



  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial data cable installation environment.



  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in process optimization, operations, business management, or quality-related functions.



  • Experience supporting QA/QC activities within data center, telecom, low-voltage, or similar technical infrastructure projects.



  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, tools, and documentation practices.



  • Experience inspecting production and installation processes for compliance with project specifications and quality standards.



  • Ability to review project records and task documentation for accuracy, completeness, and customer readiness.



  • Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and experience tracking quality issues through resolution and closeout preferred.



  • Strong understanding of fiber installations, structured cabling systems, server infrastructure, and rack and stack environments.



  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and installation standards.



  • Professional certifications such as Six Sigma, Quality Engineer, or Quality Auditor are preferred.



  • OSHA 10 certification or higher is preferred.



  • Strong communication, organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills.



  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced construction environments.



  • Ability and willingness to travel for project assignments as needed.




Education




  • High school diploma or GED required.



  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, process management, operations, or a related field preferred.




Work Experience




  • At least 5 years of experience in commercial data cable installation environments.



  • At least 5 years of experience in process optimization, operations, business management, or related quality-focused roles.



  • Experience in new construction hyperscale data center environments strongly preferred.



  • Experience supporting quality functions in data center, hyperscale, colocation, server infrastructure, fiber, or structured cabling projects preferred.

Additional Job Details (Commute, Attendance, etc.)




  • Schedule is flexible based on project needs, with an expected workload of approximately 40 to 50 hours per week.



  • Preference is for candidates located in the Phoenix area; however, qualified candidates who are willing to travel or relocate are encouraged to apply.



  • Travel accommodations may include employer-covered flights and shared Airbnb housing arrangements with individual bedrooms during project assignments.
