Job Summary
This is an entry-level Welder position requiring a valid welding certification. Candidates must be prepared to complete a welding test as part of the hiring process to demonstrate skill proficiency. The Welder performs welding on galvanized steel and aluminum to fabricate custom and standard products, including roof curbs and drop boxes, based on blueprints. This role ensures high-quality production through visual inspections and adherence to safety standards. The position requires collaboration with engineers and fabricators, clear communication of product issues, and the ability to work both independently and within a team-oriented environment.

Job Responsibilities



  • Weld galvanized steel and aluminum to fabricate custom and standard products
  • Interpret and work from blueprints to ensure accurate production
  • Conduct visual inspections to maintain product quality
  • Operate and maintain welding machines and related equipment
  • Follow safe welding practices and comply with all safety regulations
  • Communicate product issues to management in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with engineers and fabricators to support efficient production processes


Job Requirements



  • Active welding certification required
  • Ability to pass a hands-on welding test during the hiring process
  • Minimum of one year of welding experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
  • Proficiency in operating welding equipment and performing basic maintenance
  • Strong understanding of welding safety standards and procedures
  • Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team


Education



  • High school diploma or equivalent required


Work Experience



  • At least one year of welding experience required
