We have an opportunity for a Junior Engineered Sales Support Specialist to join our Conroe, TX team. You will work within the Technical Sales Support Team. The team is responsible for the design and deployment of equipment within the Pentair Filtration Solutions product portfolio. These solutions include, but are not limited to gas transportation, processing, and refining, chemical processing, industrial water, and clean air applications. The equipment is designed by Pentair in accordance with applicable regulatory codes and client specifications. The engineered sales support specialist will work with the engineering and project management disciplines to provide support where appropriate across a wide array of job responsibilities during the techno-commercial proposal development, engineering, and project management phases of the project life cycle.

You will:

  • Support and interface with cross-functional teams during order initiation activities.
  • Prepare, comply, and transmit project documents, electronic data record book with IOM & nameplates for engineered projects.
  • Coordinate the processing of project milestone invoicing w/ vendors.
  • Manage departmental document revision control.
  • Conduct historical project research in support of sales inquiries.
  • Perform salesforce administration duties (Reporting, User Maintenance, Project Initiation, Office Support, rental data reconciliation).
  • Validates project data for close out, including quote database monitoring and maintenance.
  • Support development and communication of revenue/backlog forecasts, progress reports, shipping reports and required project support documentation.
  • Participate in process mapping, continuous improvement, and project tasks assigned by manager.
  • Create requisitions for third-party vendor purchase orders.
  • Generate project specific packing lists, quotes/schedules freight, and coordinates delivery to vendor & client job sites.
  • Provide support to adjacent departmental roles as needed.
  • Effectively prioritize and execute technical tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Proactively manage project adjustments and alterations with urgency and efficiency.
  • Manage web-based compliance programs (ex. ISNet).
  • Manage client-vendor portals for project management support.
  • Support project team with rental fleet order execution.
  • Manage project nameplate creation.

Key Qualifications:

  • Technical degree preferred but not required.
  • Experience working in a technical environment.
  • Experience in manufacturing office functions is preferred.
  • Highly skilled in MS-Office suite of software tools. Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Salesforce and ISNet world, is a plus.
  • Adept at conducting research into project/product related challenges.
  • Ability to read or learn to read technical drawings and associated documents.
  • This can conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong written and oral interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate customer first service skills.
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrate thorough analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute technical tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time, sometimes on short notice.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $52700 - $97900 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
