Overview

VTG is seeking a high energy Talent Acquisition Coordinator located at our corporate offices in Chantilly to help close deals! The Talent Acquisition Coordinator supports the full-cycle talent acquisition process from need identification and assessment to position closure for assigned work groups. This includes engaging in strategic meetings with hiring managers; develops position duties, responsibilities, specifications, and requisite skills; sources, recruits, screens, interviews, and guides the selection of qualified candidates for a variety of exempt and non-exempt positions; and negotiates employment offers.


What will you do?

  • Provides high level customer service to internal and external customers (e.g., timely response, expediting processes and procedures, frequent "high touch" communications, etc.).
  • Supports effective, creative sourcing methods, techniques, plans, and strategies to attract and retain quality talent that represent diversity and minorities and align with VTG's Affirmative Action Plans.
  • Creates job posting content that complies with internal and external requirements and ensures timely posting pursuant to sourcing plans.
  • Conducts pre-interview strategy meeting with hiring managers and other interviewers to analyze position description, develop interview questions and establish an interview process.
  • Proactively sources candidates through a variety of avenues: internet, cold calling, job boards, social media, referrals, and networks.
  • Consults with the Hiring Manager and Human Resources to determine the terms of the offer.
  • Expeditiously negotiates, extends offers and prepares offer letters.
  • Initiates background checks and ensures completion within necessary timeframe.
  • Utilizes Applicant Tracking System and other program tools to track, maintain and process candidates, posting positions, and maintain interview records.
  • Participates in events such as job fairs, college relations, and community outreach to attract talent in support of the company's Affirmative Action Plan and the hiring of minorities, women, veterans, and the disabled.
  • Assists with event registration pages, event advertisements and preparing marketing materials for events.
  • Maintains a current level of professional knowledge to ensure the quality of hire level is high and talent acquisition processes represent industry trends and "best practices".
  • Builds trust and confidence with key client stakeholders through the relationship building process.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for improvements and makes constructive suggestions for change, including opportunities to increase customer satisfaction.
  • Is a constant contributor for areas of improvement in the recruiting process.
  • Uses detailed screening and selection criteria to identify qualified candidates and determine the relevant strength of the candidates.
  • Sources and networks for uncleared and cleared candidates to support work locations across the country and some international work.
  • Creates offer letters, initiate background and reference checks.
  • Establishes pipeline of candidates to meet existing and upcoming needs.
  • Consults with Hiring Managers to identify clients' technical skills needs and implement effective sourcing strategies to successfully place candidates; work with Hiring Managers to identify required core competencies to ensure successful long-term hires.
  • Develops and maintains network and relationships beneficial to recruitment goals.
  • Provides communicative and professional information to candidates and program managers throughout the recruitment process.
  • Contributes to recruitment process improvements and goals.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field, preferred.
  • 1 years of relevant experience, preferred.
  • Experience in government contracting industry is highly preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Well-developed assessment, negotiation, collaboration, and consultation skills.
