The Patient Safety Manager leads process improvement efforts at Regions Hospital to reduce medical errors and prevent unintended adverse patient outcomes. In this role, you will provide leadership in proactive patient safety risk mitigation by conducting risk assessments, educating staff, identifying system-based causes of errors, and consulting with hospital management and staff. You will also be accountable for overseeing patient safety initiatives and risks from both internal and external sources. This includes collaborating with key stakeholders to develop action plans and establishing a systematic approach to prioritization. Success in this role requires a proactive mindset in identifying risks, educating leadership and staff, and mentoring and evaluating the organization's patient safety culture. This position leads a small but highly impactful team of Patient Safety Specialists. It requires a quick-thinking, decisive, and hands-on leader with deep expertise in patient safety standards and a commitment to continuous improvement. The manager must demonstrate the ability to coordinate, lead, and manage patient safety programs and initiatives, with a proven track record of goal achievement and strong relationship-building to support safe practices across the hospital system. Benefits: This is a non-union 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period) day shift position. This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and is eligible for benefits.
