The estimated base salary range for this role is $67,000 to $82,000 per year.
Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience and other relevant factors

AS Associate Project Managers are an integral part of the AS Construction Services Management Team. They partner with Sales, Operations, and vendors to engineer high-quality ceilings solutions for our external customers (architects, contractors, distributors).

The role plans and organizes all phases of small- to medium-sized custom projects (typically under $100K) from order receipt through shipment and invoicing. They provide technical product expertise to ensure that customer requirements are met or exceeded. They also provide technical options to reduce cost, improve performance or shorten lead time. AS Associate Project Managers provide project leadership to the customer, CAD Designers, and AS Project Coordinators to ensure project cost, quality and schedule metrics are achieved.

What You'll Do

  • Provides project management for to drive cost/margin, schedule, performance, and quality of assigned projects.
    • Manages project risks to ensure customer satisfaction and minimizes claims.
    • Maintains accurate and up-to-date project files.
    • Ensures customer communication process is effective.
    • Manages the change order process.
  • Provides technical product expertise to ensure that customer requirements are met or exceeded.
  • Provides leadership to the project team (project coordinators, order prep, sample coordinator, and CAD designers) to manage the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of the submittal process.
  • Responsible for the flow of information from the customer to the project team.
  • Identifies and raises issues and risks; recommends action to resolve.
  • Proactively works with suppliers to ensure mock-ups are completed prior to production.
  • Oversees the preparation and routing of approval packages and signoffs as required.
  • Utilizes Newforma project management software to track project flow and organize communications.
  • Utilizes Salesforce workflow to manage a high volume of Premium orders that require order clarification, re-quotes, vendor costs, drawing approvals, and sample approvals.
  • Support additional projects as business needs require.

  • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with diverse audiences, in both oral and written contexts.
  • Strong general mathematical abilities (margin/profit calculations, calculating linear and square areas, currency conversion, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD - ability to read and understand architectural drawings.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Associate's degree required, ideally in a technical discipline such as Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of relevant project management work experience, ideally in construction or a related industry.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Strong preference for candidates with familiarity with the construction business, estimating, reading blueprints and/or understanding of the bidding process.
  • Bachelor's degree desired, ideally in a technical discipline such as Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
