Job Summary: The Senior Manager - Action Effectiveness is focused on the firm's continuous improvement initiative and audit quality objectives. This role analyzes inspection results and other quality-related findings connected to the firm's system of quality management, identifies themes and systemic issues, and collaborates with firm leadership to develop and evaluate remedial actions. The position supports initiatives across Root Cause, Strategic Action Team, System of Quality Management, and Principal Quality Ratings Management and Data Requests. This role expands national firm exposure, strengthens leadership capabilities, and contributes practice-based insight to improve audit quality, firm processes, and stakeholder communication. Job Duties: * Analyzes inspection results, internal monitoring results, and other quality-related findings to identify trends, themes, and systemic issues * Evaluates underlying causes of deficiencies and findings to support root cause analysis activities * Collaborates with firm leadership to develop, assess, and refine remedial actions designed to address identified root causes * Supports implementation of continuous improvement initiatives across the assurance practice * Communicates analysis, observations, conclusions, and recommendations to assurance leadership and other key stakeholders * Contributes to activities related to the firm's system of quality management, including process documentation, control testing, monitoring activities, and evaluation of design and operating effectiveness * Partners with stakeholders across the firm to understand existing audit processes, quality controls, and opportunities for enhancement * Supports preparation of materials, summaries, and responses related to regulator requests and internal quality management reporting * Assists with processes related to principal audit quality ratings management and related data analysis * Networks with assurance professionals and firm leadership to gather insight, share leading practices, and support quality-focused initiatives * Applies strong technical auditing knowledge to identify common pitfalls, interpret findings, and recommend practical solutions * Leads discussions regarding sensitive or complex quality matters in a constructive and professional manner * Promotes consistency with firm audit methodology, quality standards, and national assurance objectives * Supports special projects and cross-functional national initiatives related to audit quality and quality management * Other duties as required Supervisory Responsibilities: * Sets the tone for teamwork by supporting others in their work and delivering on commitments made to the team members and clients * Schedules and manages workload of managers and seniors * Supervises managers and seniors on projects * Acts as a Career Advisor * Provides verbal and written performance * Teaches and coaches managers and seniors Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Education: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or Economics, required Experience: * Seven (7) or more years of public accounting experience, required * Experience with accounting firm quality management standards, preferred. License/Certifications: * CPA, required Software: * Advanced Excel skills, required * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI and Outlook, preferred * Experience with accounting research databases, preferred Language: * N/A Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Strong leadership and management skills * Superior written and verbal communications skills * Advanced knowledge of GAAP and SEC * Solid understanding and proficiency of accounting and auditing standards and reporting requirements * Strong understanding of technical aspects of auditing * Strong teamwork and collaboration skills * Strong critical thinking and analytical skills * Ability to evaluate complex findings and identify broader systemic issues * Ability to navigate difficult conversations with professionalism and sound judgment * Ability to work effectively with leadership and stakeholders across multiple functions * Ability to develop practical, sustainable recommendations to improve audit quality * Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion * Ability to balance rotation responsibilities with a national quality-focused role * Ability to build relationships across the assurance practice and broader firm network * Knowledge of the firm's system of quality management concepts and quality control principles Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography. National Range: $130,000 - $200,000 Maryland Range: $130,000 - $200,000 NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $130,000 - $200,000
