Summary:

This posiiton will have responsibility for maximizing profitability for all existing commercialized products within the USL portfolio. The Sr. Director will partner with Project Management, Sales, Finance and Supply Chain to identify and implement pricing and market penetration strategies that grow revenue and margins. The position will lead Generic Portfolio to identify and proactively implement strategies to improve margins based on Continuous Improvement activities or market opportunities. The Sr. Director will also lead the pre-launch activities associated with a Biosimilar product marketed to the Oncology and Hospital channels as well as lead the process and coordination of all new product launches in coordination with Project Management, Sales, Pricing, Contracts, Customer Service and Supply Chain.

  • Utilize IMS and multiple other data sources to identify strategies and new pipeline products that will contribute to the growth of our mature branded and generic businesses.
  • Develop the priorities for the Generic Portfolio Team to proactively identify opportunities to improve margins.
  • Manage and lead projects and teams, such as, Product Management, Sales, Supply Chain and Finance to capitalize on generic market opportunities and through data and market intelligence, proactively implement strategies to grow revenue and margin.
  • Responsible for developing tools, systems and processes to efficiently manage the key areas of the function
  • Launch a drive revenue and margin growth for a new Biosimilar product marketed to the Oncology and Hospital channels.
  • Collaborate with Sales Operations, National Accounts & Supply chain, to identify pricing or market penetration strategies to grow revenue and margin of marketed products.
  • Attend Trade Show meetings as necessary.

Minimum Education, Experience and Skills

  • B.A. degree and a minimum of 12 years of pharmaceutical experience
  • 2-3 years Product Management experience with generic drugs required and 1-2 years of National Account sales experience with retail and wholesale headquarter accounts.
  • Excellent financial skills and acumen, including understanding relationships between promotion, COGS, NPV's, pricing and gross margin.
  • Ability to calculate, interpret and leverage knowledge of pricing strategies and COGS to grow portfolio profitability.
  • Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related electronic business tools required Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities.
  • Ability to direct and lead a team toward corporate objectives.
  • Ability to manage department budget.
  • Strong interpersonal, organization, leadership and presentation skills.
  • Ability to strategically plan the activities and results of a team. Certifications / Licenses.
  • Travel Requirements up to 25%.

Compensation Range: 192,000 - 270,000
