Site Reliability Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Teradata Chief Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the technical vision and strategy, overseeing the development of innovative engineering solutions, and ensuring the successful implementation of complex projects. Your leadership will be instrumental in advancing our mission and maintaining our competitive edge in the industry. This is an individual based role that works closely with multiple teams in the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge engineering projects that align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and promote best practices in Teradata system architecture, design principles, and software development methodologies
• Oversee the project lifecycle from conception to completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables within set timelines and budgets
• Drive technical innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and integrating them into existing systems and processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scopes, objectives, and success metrics while ensuring alignment with business goals

Requirements:

• 10+ years Teradata experience, Expertise in Teradata system design, software architecture, and engineering best practices
• Experience in developing and implementing strategic engineering initiatives that drive business growth
• Deep understanding of software development lifecycles, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices
• Networking proficiency for Teradata platforms including Load Balancing, Bonding and DNS
• Strong technical background in relevant engineering disciplines, including SLES Operating system, software, hardware, and systems administration
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture
• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Shell Scripting, Java, Python, Ansible)
• Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace culture

Desired skills:

• Degree or Certifications in Teradata architecture, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Proven ability to navigate and lead through organizational change

Pay range: $58.31 - $66.31 per hour
