POSITION SUMMARY: The Electrical Manufacturing Engineering Intern supports the Manufacturing Engineering team in improving production processes, enhancing efficiency, and maintaining safe and effective operations within a manufacturing environment. This role provides hands-on experience in applying engineering principles to real-world production challenges while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

* Follow safe working practices within the manufacturing environment

* Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives

* Assist in monitoring manufacturing processes and identifying issues

* Support basic troubleshooting and production activities under supervision

* Help document and standardize work practices and procedures

* Assist with workstation layout, line balance, and production flow

* Participate in production meetings and complete follow-up actions

* Support investigations into process performance and efficiency

* Assist with tool and equipment coordination

* Help maintain production documentation (e.g., kit lists, takt charts, SOPs)

* Complete assigned tasks and projects aligned with internship goals

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

* Currently pursuing Electrical Engineering or a related field

* Strong interest in manufacturing and engineering environments

* Eagerness to learn and apply technical concepts

* Basic understanding of manufacturing or continuous improvement (Lean is an asset)

* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset

* Ability to follow procedures and work safely

* Effective communication and teamwork skills

* Experience with systems such as QPulse or Syspro is an asset

Physical & Workplace Requirements:

* Ability to work in a manufacturing environment

* Adherence to Environmental Health & Safety standards

* Awareness and reporting of unsafe conditions

* Understanding of company policies and procedures

Standard Hours: Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
