Conducts safety audits, documentation of safety procedures, and completes reports addressing the efforts to protect youth. Conducts fact-finding investigations and analysis of safety measures. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: Examines, evaluates, and reports on the adequacy and effectiveness of the systems designed to ensure the protection and safety of the youth receiving Boys Town Services.
  • Conducts proactive audits in regards to youth safety and the systems in place.
  • Organizes data collection activities for the audit office.
  • Analyzes reports and data trends to draw conclusions regarding the completion and reporting of safety measures within Boys Town services.
  • Participates in and completes Fact Finding Investigations, including interviewing youth and staff.
  • Collaborates internally to ensure proper processes are followed in accordance to confidentiality and documentation.
  • Prepares and presents reports of results from the audits and investigations.
  • Communicates departmental recommendations.
  • Assumes responsibilities of the area director as necessary.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to youth care.
  • High level of professionalism and interpersonal skills. Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels in the organization and with external business contacts in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining necessary degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to build and sustain successful, professional relationships.
  • Ability to work independently in a collaborative environment, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining quality standards.
  • Ability to quickly make decisions in sensitive and sometimes critical areas and present decisions to appropriate individuals.
  • Ability to adapt responses to situations while maintaining procedural and regulatory integrity.
  • Strong knowledge of Boys Town model and fidelity of care.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience required.
  • Available to travel as necessary required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Boys Town Family Home Program experience is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, EQUIPMENT USAGE, WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Position is relatively sedentary in a normal office administrative environment involving minimum exposure to physical risks. Will use office equipment such as a computer/laptop, monitor, keyboard, and a general workstation set-up.
