ATI in Richland, WA is seeking an Operations Supervisor to join our team! This is a day shift position typically working Monday - Friday. This role oversees the production process from start to finished product and to supervise the operators assigned to the team. This position is considered part of the leadership team which requires troubleshooting, problem solving, investigations, administering coaching, counseling, interviewing candidates, report writing, carrying out directives by management, supporting company missions and goals, attending meetings and trainings, maintaining positive employee relations, and other supervisory duties. Required to pay close attention to detail and stay organized to ensure accuracy. This varied position is based on the priorities for the day and production requirements. There are multiple work areas to monitor throughout the shift, typically overseeing a team of ~12.

Responsibilities:



  • Manages day to day MP production process and reports out when there are deviations to plan
  • Directs and trains team to produce a product that meets customer requirements in a safe and cost effective manner
  • Responsible for the performance of all production employees on the team ensuring work and actions of team comply with policies, procedures, and standards
  • Responsible for directing basic troubleshooting and equipment repairs
  • Report out and update other interested parties on production metrics established includes uptime reports, MP Production schedule, attends various meetings to give reports related to production, etc.
  • Conduct audits and as required, investigations in assigned area
  • Utilize problem solving tools, Continuous Improvement resources to such as 5 why, KATA, TSP to resolve production problems and to improve the production process
  • Responsible for verifying the accuracy of all controlled documentation generated by team members
  • Track and submit time and attendance information for team
  • Ensure that all team members are being developed in accordance with the training system to safely and correctly perform job duties
  • Support management decisions and comply with company policies while maintaining a strong sense of structured team work
  • Leave plant in a clean, safe and orderly condition at shift turnover. Communicate complete status of the plant to next Team at shift change.
  • Ensure that shift is staffed appropriately to meet production requirements each day, factoring vacation time, holidays, illness and any unusual production requirements.
  • Manage and conduct training and testing of team members to enable promotion within the pay system as appropriate
  • Lead team behavior in the area of Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness and Cost
  • Address performance problems with employees in a timely manner, including documentation to Sr. Leader. Provide constant feedback.
  • Data entry/tracking using a computerized data system, drafting correspondence and filling out various paperwork; Microsoft Office Programs are used as well as other computer systems
  • Ensure plant is in order with all areas cleaned up, maintained, and organized
  • Conduct weekly safety meetings. Conduct safety observations and various safety trainings; daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually



  • 2-year degree/trade school equivalent in a related field or equivalent related work experience required
  • 3 years of industrial, manufacturing, or processing work experience required
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and prior supervisory experience required
  • Ability to demonstrate troubleshooting and problem solving experience and/or skills required
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office programs required

Salary Range: $65,000 to $85,000/annually +
