Baptist Health is looking for a Patient Access Scheduler to join our team in Louisville, KY!

Patient Access Schedulers are responsible for scheduling patients for diagnostic tests and procedures as ordered byreferring physicians (generally via Epic, fax or telephone). The Patient Access Scheduler will handle a large volume of
incoming calls or faxes and schedule multiple procedures within multiple departments. This person will be the firstpoint of contact with patients or physician offices and must ensure their needs are met. This person will be workingin a fast-paced environment where they will be expected to display expert customer service and communicationskills to properly assist patients or office staff. They are responsible for informing patients and/or physician staff ofthe proper preparation and instructions for the tests ordered and identify anyrecertifications/authorizations/referrals they need to acquire. Must maintain effective communication with thepatient, physician offices and ancillary departments within the hospital. Pre-registration, insurance verification andbenefit evaluation prior to appointment is imperative. Responsible for obtaining orders for all scheduledappointments prior to service.

Requirements

* High School diploma or equivalent

* Must type 45-50 wpm

* Registration or Scheduling Experience Preferred
