Summary:
PennAero is hiring an EHS & Facilities Manager at our RSA Engineered Products Company in Simi Valley, CA. RSA provides flight-critical components and assemblies for the commercial, defense and business jet markets. RSA designs and produces custom-engineered high pressure/high-temperature ducting assemblies for each customer's specific performance requirements. RSA's Peri-SealTM is one of the most sought after connectors in the aerospace industry. Job Description:

Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate
will be able to perform the following duties and have the following experiences
and abilities:

Prepares, implements, updates, and maintains company policies, procedures and
program documents to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and
local environmental and safety regulations.

Develops environmental and safety training programs with a focus on promoting a
culture of safety awareness, and coordinates with Human Resources and
Supervisory personnel to ensure timely and effective employee training.

Serves as the primary point of contact to environmental and safety regulatory
agencies and responds to agency inquiries as required.

Manages all environmental permits to ensure active status and good standing
with applicable regulatory agencies. Prepares and submits permit applications
as required.
Manages all environmental and safety programs and maintains applicable
documents and records including permits, hazardous waste manifests, wastewater
discharge reports, air emission reports and stormwater discharge reports.
Responsible for Chemical Clean Etching Operations, Chemical and Process Tank
Management.

Responsible for accurate completion and timely submittal of environmental and
safety monitoring, recordkeeping and reporting requirements such as Hazardous
Materials Business Plan and Permit by Rule in CERS, Biennial Reports and Form R
Reports in RCRA Info, Stormwater Sampling Events and Annual Reports in SMARTS,
and Wastewater Discharge Self-Monitoring Reports.

Maintains ISO 14001 certification and drives continual improvement of the
Environmental Management System. Serves as the EMS and SMS Manager and as
primary point of contact for all third-party audits while conducting all
internal audits.
Responsible for tracking and uploading RSA Sustainability Data to the
VelocityEHS database.

Provides technical guidance on applicable European regulations including REACH
and RoHS, and coordinates with Engineering personnel on responses to customer
environmental inquiries and information requests.

Conducts Job Hazard Analyses and other detailed investigations of potential
safety and health hazards and makes recommendations for corrective actions.
Provides technical guidance to Supervisory personnel conducting incident
investigations.

Chairs the RSA Safety Committee, where monthly Safety Critical audit findings are reviewed. Serves as RSA IIPP Administrator. Represents RSA during monthly
EHS Conference Calls.

Manages the weekly Toolbox Talk program wherein Supervisory personnel lead
their employees in topical environmental and safety training discussions.
Develops new Toolbox Talks and updates existing ones as required. Establishes
the calendar year Toolbox Talk training schedule, monitors Supervisory
completion of scheduled Toolbox Talks to ensure 100% on-time completion rate.

Assists Human Resources personnel with management of Worker's Compensation
claims and is well-versed in Cal OSHA operational & reporting requirements.
Monitors performance to environmental and safety KPI metrics and provides
periodic updates to management.

Prepares annual environmental and safety budgets and monitors performance to
budgets.
Job Requirements
Coordinates all Facilities projects, repairs, PM's, and
miscellaneous tickets through internal resources or 3rd party
contractors.
Leads TPM program to ensure equipment downtime is minimized
and Critical Spares are managed appropriately.

This role is required to be on-site 5 days a week at the Simi Valley, CA location.


Qualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Chemistry,
Biological Science or Environmental Science
5 or more years of Environmental Health and Safety experience in a
manufacturing environment
Basic knowledge of acid/base chemistry and the environmental and safety aspects
associated with these hazardous materials
Working knowledge of typical safety programs in a manufacturing environment
such as Injury and Illness Prevention Plan, Emergency Action Plan, Lockout
Tagout, Hazard Communication, Hearing Conservation, and Personal Protective
Equipment
Management or coordination of various environmental programs such as air
quality, hazardous materials, hazardous waste, wastewater discharge and storm
water discharge
Working knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System requirements,
with relevant experience such as Environmental Management Representative,
internal or external auditor, consultant, or similar position of responsibility
Ability to interact with people on the floor, good social skills, and able to
work with diverse work groups
Excellent organization and computer skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
The following experiences and abilities are beneficial:
Facilities Management Experience including Preventive Maintenance Programs
Experience with processes utilizing hazardous chemicals, including
manufacturing and wastewater treatment processes. HAZWOPER Certification will
be required once onsite.
Experience with online portals for regulatory reporting such as CERS, RCRA
Info, and SMARTS.
Experience with Worker's Compensation case management.

This role involves access to technical data and/or hardware subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). In order to comply with these laws, employment is contingent upon verifying your status as a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. * 120.15, or obtaining any required government authorization.

Compensation

In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $120,000 - $143,000.

Compensation can vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses. Further details will be provided by our recruiting team during the interview process.
