Job Description
Primary Purpose Coordinates and lead field execution of complex gas system maintenance, inspection, and integrity activities, ensuring technical accuracy, safety, and compliance while guiding technicians and contractors.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Leads troubleshooting, repair, and commissioning of rectifier, anode, and corrosion protection systems.
- Oversees launch and receipt of inline inspection tools and ensure correct isolation and venting sequences.
- Coordinates compressor station shutdowns, startups, and performance tests with operations teams.
- Verifies that leak surveys, valve inspections, and corrosion inspections meet procedural standards.
- Ensures work sites comply with safety plans and environmental controls.
- Provides field recommendations related to material selection and constructability.
- Reviews and sign daily logs, inspection forms, and test results for accuracy.
- Represents field operations during inspections or audits.
- Perform calibration, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance on transmitters, flow computers (RTUs), chromatographs, and other EFM equipment.
- Assist with startup and commissioning of new meter stations, regulation skids, and automation systems.
- Responded to One Calls on behalf of the company to protect company assets from third party damage.
- Analyze measurement data, identify discrepancies, and resolve volume, pressure, temperature, and gas quality issues.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- Typically requires 5 years of related experience.
- Proficient in natural gas measurement practices, including ultrasonic measurement, RTUs, analyzers, and other relative EFM equipment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Gas Engineering - Design and advise on smooth and safe supply or utilization of gas, including the development, construction, installation, operation, maintenance and repair of gas and gas-related technology.
- Project/Program Management - The process of leading the work of a team to achieve goals and meet success criteria at a specified time.
- Energy Distribution Systems Installation - Installing systems for distributing energy, such as electrical power, from sources to end-users efficiently and safely.
- Distribution Meter Installation - The process of installing energy distribution meters.
- Engineering Design - A series of steps that engineers follow to find a solution to a problem.
- Regulatory Compliance - Ensuring an organization's adherence to laws, regulations, guidelines and specifications relevant to its business processes.
- Maintenance Management - Management of activities such as repair work, servicing, replacing, inspecting and testing.
- Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Management - The systematic approach to maintain health and safety at occupation and protect the environment.
- Standards Management - Sets standards correctly and efficiently and adheres to them.
- Corrosion Control - Implementing processes and methods of combating corrosion by protecting metals against corrosion.
Licenses and Certifications
- A valid driver's license is required.
Other Qualifications
- This position adheres to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and will be subject to drug and alcohol testing as required by 49 CFR Part 40, 199, and 382, respectively. Applicants must meet all DOT requirements for safety-sensitive positions.

$103,500.00 - $163,500.00 / year
