Work Schedule: 90% FTE, 7am - 730pm, 3 days a week. Rotating weekends and holidays. You will work at UW Health Belvidere Hospital 1625 S State St Belvidere IL. We are currently seeking a Medical Lab Technician/Scientist to: Perform diagnostic laboratory testing across multiple specialties, helping provide critical results that support patient diagnosis and treatment. Utilize advanced laboratory technology and instrumentation while ensuring the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and reliability. Partner with physicians, caregivers, and laboratory professionals to deliver timely information that impacts patient care. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through quality assurance, troubleshooting, process enhancement, and ongoing professional development. Required Bachelor's Degree in medical laboratory science (MLS). Preferred Master's Degree in medical laboratory science (MLS). Preferred Work Experience 1 year healthcare or lab related work experience. Preferred Licenses & Certifications Certification (Medical Lab Science, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Blood Banking, Molecular Biology) by the board of American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP)or similar agency preferred.
