Job Description

Within Global Government Affairs (GA), Visa's Policy Advisory team plays a crucial role in shaping the future of digital payments. This role sits at the center of how policy insights are translated into action, supporting engagement across regions and business partners.

In this role, you will help shape the future of digital payments by enabling the Policy Advisory function to deliver with impact, translating policy insights into scalable tools, content, and coordinated execution across regions and business partners. You will closely collaborate with the Global Government Affairs Strategy & Operations (S&O) team to deliver processes in support of global and regional priorities and ensure timely execution of team deliverables for the Policy Advisory vertical. The ideal candidate brings experience managing projects and operations within complex organizations, a passion for the intersection of payments and public policy, and a track record of success in fast-paced, matrixed environments.

While some travel is expected, this is an internally focused role responsible for enabling the effectiveness and impact of the Policy Advisory function. The position reports to and partners closely with the Vice President and Head of Policy Advisory to support delivery of the team's priorities and overall execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help translate policy priorities into scaled execution, developing tools, frameworks, and materials that enable consistent delivery across regions and teams.
  • Support the end-to-end model for the Policy Advisory team, including OKR coordination, project planning and oversight, and delivery tracking.
  • Support cross-functional coordination across legal, product, and regional Government Affairs teams to help embed policy priorities into business and regional execution.
  • Support the development and delivery of core content (briefings, talking points, presentations), to help ensure consistency, quality, and impact across government, client, and executive audiences.
  • Partner with Strategy & Operations to support the team's knowledge platforms and internal tools (e.g., SharePoint, Dynamics), including content, updates, and alignment with planning processes such as Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
  • Support implementation and streamlining of processes supporting consultations, reporting, and strategic workstreams, ensuring clear coordination and follow-through across stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Strategy & Operations and Legal to support the team's inputs to regulatory reporting, coordinating across stakeholders and ensuring timely, accurate delivery.
  • Support oversight of external vendors and consultants, ensuring clear scope, timelines, and spend discipline.
  • Prepare and contribute to clear, executive-ready updates on progress and risks.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and ways of working to help increase efficiency, consistency, and overall team impact.
  • Contribute to a high-performing team environment focused on accountability, clarity, and continuous improvement, aligning efforts to broader company priorities.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD

  • Demonstrated project management experience, including structuring and driving complex, cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution.

  • Strong understanding of Visa's business, internal processes, and cross-functional ways of working considered a plus.

  • Ability to navigate and operate effectively within a complex, matrixed organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to connect people and ideas, influence at all levels, and advance team priorities and deliverables.

  • Excellent judgment, analytical skills, and experience developing and delivering content for executive and external audiences.

  • Inclusive, collaborative style with strong emotional intelligence.

  • High attention to detail, adaptability, and ability to deliver under tight deadlines in fast-changing environments.

  • Political acumen and a passion for emerging regulatory trends in payments and technology a plus.

  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams with tools, content, or processes that improve execution and coordination.

  • Ability to translate complex policy topics into clear, practical guidance for a range of audiences, a plus.

The estimated salary range for this positionis $131,600.00 to $ 210,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
